Our trip to the Mexican Riviera

Kent and I just returned from a week-long trip to the Mexican Riviera with our friends Jenn and Derek DeTemple. It was a lot of fun! We left first thing in the morning on Saturday, and drove to the pier in LA. We left that afternoon and had 2 sea days.

Monday we were in Cabo San Lucas. We tendered to the dock. We got to shop for a while, and then came back to the dock so we could leave on our excursion. We went whale watching and got to see several pairs of whales then some dolphins. We got relatively close to them and got some great pictures and videos of them.

Tuesday we went to Mazatlan and hired a taxi to tour the city. We saw the cliff divers, a beautiful Catholic church and then we went to the beach to hang out for a few hours. We ordered our lunch on the beach, and had some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. Kent ordered some strawberries from a vendor on the beach. I ate one, but he ate all the rest. Montezuma had his revenge that night. Plus he was red as a lobster so he really had a bad night on Tuesday.

Wednesday we were in Puerto Vallarta. Kent and I got our excursion tickets the night before.

Easter

School's out!

Yesterday was the kids' last day of school. They had such a good time. I went to Natalie's class for a little while, and helped her teacher sort through the papers.

Utah trip

Well, if you look at my last post it seemed that we were going to be quite busy. The weather didn't cooperate (I'm not complaining because I love, love, love the rain) so we didn't go to the open house or the zoo. We did get to spend lots of extra time with friends and family, though, so we were grateful for that.

Soren Brandon... so cute. I don't know why Amy thinks he's a stinker! LOL...

On our first day in CT Amy took us ot the private beach in Darien.

Justin's birthday meal

Julie and Lenny came over when the kids were out of school yesterday. They talked and visited with the kids. Well, with Justin, Natalie and Drew. Trevor was in a mood about something or other and lokced himsel in his room for a while. When we were all done visiting Justin decided that we would eat at TGIFriday's. We all sat down, and Natalie tried to steal my tailbone cushion (as I'm now calling it). We ordered our food and got to talk some more.

Natalie started getting anxious for her food to arrive, so my little, sweet, kind girl thought it was funny to try eating everyone's food. She picked at my salad until I finally put it in front of her. Then when I tried to eat some she got mad at me for "stealing her food." Then she didn't want to touch my entree (sirloin stroganof) until she tried a bite. Then she loved it and kept trying to snag bites. Then dessert came. It was ice cream sundaes. She, Kent and I shared one. She was giggly, and dipped her sppon into the almost empty dish. Then she flicked her wrist, and the chocolate, caramel and ice cream all landed in the middle of my chest on my white t-shirt. It looked like I had dribbled right down the middle of my shirt. Ugh!
