I finished Amazing Grace last night. I thought that I was going to read some sort of romance novel, but it wasn't... although there was a bit of love found and love lost in the book. But that's not what the core of the story was about. It was a really good book. It was about the trials we face, and how we can face and overcome them with grace. (Didn't mean to rhyme there...) I guess I might read some more books by Danielle Steele now. It was a pretty quick and easy read.
Now I'm starting on a new book. It's called Pride and Prescience (Or A Truth Universally Acknowledged) A Mr. & Mrs. Darcy Mystery by Carrie Bebris. It starts right after Pride and Prejudice ends. I've only just begun it, but I LOVE Jane Austen books so much that I am already predisposed to enjoying this book. So far there are 4 books in the series and this is the first book. I'll give you my review when I'm done.
I didn't finish the bookcase yesterday as planned. I was overcome by sleepiness and had to take a nap. I was down for the count for 2 hours. When I woke up it was several minutes after my alarm went off, with Natalie asking me if she could play with her friend here or at her friend's house. I was really confused for a while, but I must have said to play here because when I gathered my wits a few minutes later and made it downstairs Natalie, Drew and her friend had Moon Sand all over my table, the chairs and the surrounding floor. Who let Santa bring that anyway? I think Moon Sand is going the way of Play Doh in my house--- and that's out. I HATE Play Doh because, as fun as my children find it, I find it equally irksome because it is so messy! And I'm the one that ends up picking it out of the carpet, off the tile and grout, scraping it off the table, chairs and usually clothes. Contrary to popular belief by my children, I do not wish to spend any more time cleaning than I currently do.
On another note Trevor has had Kent update his iPod recently. One of the songs he wanted on his playlist was Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis. So as Justin was trying to study last night Trevor was singing it. Over and over. And over. And over. It went on for a while so I finally asked him to stop. Today I know for sure that he sang it a lot because as Drew is sitting next to me while I type he starts singing, "Keep leaving, keep leaving wub (love)." So I pull up playlist.com, pull up the song and play it. I played it once, and when it was over Drew *briefly* glanced at me to say, "Mom, I hope you keep bleeding love." I'm not sure what he meant by that comment, but it had me laughing out loud.
I just hope that Trevor doesn't start singing one of the other songs he asked Kent add to his playlist. It's White and Nerdy by Weird Al. I have to thank Allan for that. And I also have him to thank for introducing the CD with fart songs. Who wouldn't want that in their house? Especially when said person has sons (and friends) who find farting funny... and when said person also has to deal with those sons emulating the music... farts and their smells... yummy! Just wait 'til you have kids, Allan. You know what they say about payback... (And I'll have several children that can participate in said payback!)

I finished the Pride and Prescience book, and I really enjoyed it. I'm going to read the next 3 books in the series. Fun book, interesting and it kept try to the origins of the characters.
Do you still have your Pride and Prescience book? I would love to borrow it.
Mindy
Mindy,
The Perry Branch doesn't even have it so I went to Chandler Library Basha branch and got it there. I checked out the other 3 from Perry. I've started the 2nd one, but haven't gotten any further than that... too busy with 3 callings! If you want to borrow them when I'm done you can. They aren't due for another week or so. LMK!
